Therapy for Individuals and Families
“Real healing never stops. It cannot, for it is our birthright, our essential nature.” Stephanie Levine |
“Thirty years of clinical practice and the success of my many wonderful and courageous clients has confirmed my faith in our innate capacity for healing. As a therapist, I seek to build a relationship of safety, understanding and respect while providing concrete strategies to help my clients tap into and strengthen their innate healing resources. The healing relationship is transformative, awakening us to real possibilities for growth and happiness while providing support to live with greater awareness, freedom, and peace. Respecting their beliefs, I encourage clients to use their full resources of mind, body, and spirit in the healing process.
I have special expertise in trauma, addiction, depression, and anxiety with extensive experience in relationship counseling, parenting issues, and counseling adolescents. My work as a healer is informed by family systems and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), my training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization), current research, clinical experience, and my background in meditation and mindfulness practices. I am also trained in biofeedback, an effective tool for reducing stress, increasing energy, managing chronic pain, and meeting educational needs such as memory and focus. I utilize dream work when beneficial and have presented results of my research into the dreams of traumatized adolescents at the 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2018 Conferences of the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD). My fee is $175.00 for a 60 min. individual, couple, or family therapy session. I offer a sliding scale when needed. I am able to provide teletherapy services for clients who are sheltering in place or homebound.” |
