About Mary C. Walsh
Mary Caswell Walsh, MA, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 46303), consultant, biofeedback trainer, and writer with a private practice in Berkeley, CA.
Mary has presented at numerous conferences and workshops including the Illinois Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (IAMFT) State Conference and the National Conference of Catholic Charities. She co-founded the award winning Sober Classroom for substance abusing adolescents (now Phoenix Academy, a Charter School for the State of California) where she served as Clinical Coordinator and Family Therapist. Mary was Clinical Coordinator of Aftercare Services and Family Therapist for the Adolescent Recovery Center, Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, CA, a Consultant and Psychotherapist for Catholic Charities of Chicago, and Focal Counselor for Family Services at Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center in Detroit, MI. She has written and contributed to numerous books on family life and healing.
Mary earned an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco. She completed the STENS biofeedback certification program and is currently working toward national certification in biofeedback through the Biofeedback Institute of America. Mary earned an MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan, an MTS in Systematic Theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, and received the Swig Scholarship for study at Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Mary is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the California Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a member of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, and the International Association for the Study of Dreams.
