Groups Offered
Clients are assessed individually to determine if an upcoming or ongoing therapy or support group will benefit them. Groups are small (no more than 10) and are 1 –1 1/2 hours in length. If you are interested in an upcoming group, please contact Mary Walsh at (510) 292-9537 or by email at mcwalshlmft@sbcglobal.net.
Upcoming groups include the following:
Beyond Survival
This group is for abuse survivors interested in drawing on relational and spiritual resources to continue to grow and heal. In a safe, small group setting, we will use shared experience, strength, and hope, dreamwork, and meditation techniques to move beyond survival and into transformative healing. Call (510) 292-9537 or email mcwalshlmft@sbcglobal.net for times and dates of the next group.
Caring for Caregivers
Most of us know that self-care is essential to being effective as a caregiver; but putting that knowledge into practice can be a challenge when we are overworked, faced with critical care situations, or dealing with our own issues. This group focuses on learning practical strategies for avoiding burnout, increasing energy, and decreasing stress “on the fly.” These strategies will help us be more effective caregivers. As important, they can enable us to more deeply enjoy the good work we are doing. Call (510) 292-9537 or by email mcwalshlmft@sbcglobal.net for times and dates of the next group.
